The Snug
Community women participated in this project to create the identity glyphs in this piece. The context of their meanings strengthened when they were replicated in strong pink and adhered to the symbolic glass surface. The shadows and reflections extend beyond the glass barrier depicting the presence and influence of the identities of the women upon their designated places within the environment. In an interesting note, four of the participants are breast cancer survivors.Â
